Perry Mandera’s Integration of Philanthropy in his Transport Business

There are very few business executives, investors, and entrepreneurs who have placed generosity at the heart of their undertakings. Perry Mandera is one of those few people. Perry founded Custom Companies, Inc., a transport business, in 1986. His interest in the transport sector developed after joining the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He joined the Marine Corps after graduating from high school in 1975. Perry was an integral part of the motor pool where he acquired impressive driving skills.

He returned to civilian life and worked for several transport companies. The interest in transport blossomed, and Perry started his business in 1980 at only 23 years of age. He later sold the enterprise in 1985. It was at this point that Perry resolved to build a transport business that prioritizes support to the community.

The company has a presence in various cities in the United States. The main offices are its headquarters in Northlake, Illinois and another in Los Angeles, California. It has many clients including the Fortune 100 companies. Custom Companies, Inc. is famous for its affordable and customized services. The company led to the birth of Custom Cares Charities. The organization was established as the primary vehicle for Custom Companies, Inc and Perry’s philanthropic work. He donated transportation and supplies to the victims of the tornado that hit Washington, IL in 2013. Perry also gave over 40 truckloads of food and supplies to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

One group that has immensely benefited from Perry’s charity work is children and youth. He has sponsored more than 100 sports teams spread in Chicago and Illinois. Perry has also been involved in the training of talented youths. Having served in the military, he has been active in promoting the welfare of veterans. Perry Mandera’s continues to donate large sums of money to support the vulnerable groups every year.
