Greg Secker From Humble Beginning to Renaissance Man

Greg Secker is a native of Norfolk, England. Born on February 18, 1975. He is known for being a world renowned speaker, a philanthropist, and a master trader. Although he studied agriculture and food sciences at the University of Nottingham, he worked as a trade technologist for Thomas Cook Financial Services through the mid 1990s. After which went to Mellon Financial Corporation as their vice-president. Throughout his career he has been award many awards; including in 1998, receiving the British Telecom Award for Innovation in e-commerce.

Greg Secker was asked, during the CEO/CFO interviews, what would he say was his business and life’s philosophy be? His response, “I am not a why guy, I am a why not guy.” With this philosophy he finds strength to do anything and succeed at it. Using the time he was trading while flying above the Canary Islands, nicknamed “The Flying Trader” initiative, as an example. Stating that, “Money can be made anytime, anyplace is you have the drive and determination to do so.”

Also discussing how a man from northern England, with a degree in agriculture and food science, is now one of the biggest names in the financial world. Greg Secker states how he likes to share with others his passion for knowledge and personal growth.

Talk of the Greg Secker Foundation was the highlight of the interview. It is he “pride and joy.” The mission of the foundation is empowering young people with the skills needed to succeed in whatever it is that drives them.

Greg Secker is an amazing example for young people. Starting out from humble beginnings, to become the “ambassador for success”. Though Secker does not like being called “Renaissance Man”, this is somewhat a bit of a renaissance, in which he his providing others with knowledge for self-empowerment and success, one would be wise to listen and follow his advice.
