IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. announces the acquisition of two business units from DRS Technologies, Inc.

IAP Worldwide Services has announced the acquisition of two business units from the DRS Technologies, Inc. the Logistics & Aviation company situated in Oklahoma City together with the Tactical Networking and Communication Solutions business based in Aberdeen Proving. According to the release, IAP Worldwide Services acquired the Aviation and Logistics business to expand their services through the provision of logistics, aircraft repair management services, and mission support services. The Tactical Communication and Networking business provide information, engineering, and communication solutions to the United States Defense Department and other state organizations in the world. IAP Worldwide Services will integrate with the unique business capabilities from the acquired Tactical Networking and Communication Solutions and Aviation and Logistics companies as part of their growth strategy for the year.

This acquisition is meant to increase the capabilities that IAP Worldwide Services is delivering to their highly-esteemed clients in the world. For the company, this acquisition is expected to increase their service delivery capabilities and increase their addressable markets. For more than 10 years, the company has sought services regarding aircraft management systems to help the United States Government during their war against Iraq. For this reason, the Aviation and Logistics business has solved this problem. IAP Worldwide hopes to win more contracts of this nature and solve the impending problems facing the United States government and other companies.

These businesses will integrate with the existing National Security Program business unit under the direction of IAP Worldwide Services. They will form the Aviation and Logistics Solutions. According to the Chief Executive Officer of IAP Worldwide Services, the addition of the communications, aviation, and networking business solutions from DRS will fit naturally into the working curriculum of IAP Worldwide Services. For this reason, IAP Worldwide will expand their portfolio of solutions and services to the United States government and other organizations in the world.
